Have you ever noticed that some people have this amazing ability to be able to run a business and yet still have a social life?
Today we are going to be exploring the idea of how you don’t have to get run down or run over by your business. You can still feel good and make a difference in the world.
So, when I’m thinking about not being run down or run over by your business, I’m thinking about how you can make sure that you’re finding time for yourself and for the other things in life are essential.
Having your own business is excellent. You can get to do so many different things, and you can be able to serve so many other people. You also must think about what’s right for me what’s right for my family. And how can I make sure those things happen all the time. Because it’s pointless having a business if all that happens is you work, work, work. Moreover, working every hour, every day is probably one of the key reasons you decided to leave working for somebody else and to work for yourself in the first place.
It’s the ability to have a more flexible lifestyle. But with that flexible lifestyle, it also means that you’ve got the responsibilities of being able to make sure things work for your business and work for your home life. And this means the same kind of things that you do in business every single day around scheduling what’s essential, diarise what you need to do, creating your to-do list, dealing with the prioritisation. You should also be looking to do this in your personal life as well, to make sure you’ve got this excellent work-life balance. If there are essential things that you need to do such as maybe you have to visit an old aunty, perhaps you’re going to see when your children’s performances. Perhaps you’re going to spend time with your loved one our spouse, or some other very particular family time.
Now, these things are essential, so you need to schedule them in. Otherwise what you’ll find is your life becomes out of balance. You spend all your time doing just one side of things working all your in your business. And then when you wake up one day, and you may find the other side of your life has disappeared.
So, before that happens, I’d like to challenge you to make sure that you’ve got that balance in your life. So you’re finding the time necessary to keep those fantastic loving relationships alive, and you can also foster new friendships as well. Thereby Enjoying life, enjoy and the fruits of your labour. And most of all, making sure you enjoy yourself.
