I am a business performance, fitness and lifestyle coach from York; my friend Justin Scott, a tree surgeon from Driffield, and I recently had the privilege of representing the UK at an international snow sculpting championship in Japan. Although we didn’t take home the top prize, it was truly amazing to compete and showcase our work so far from home.

Justin and I have been sculpting together since 2016, travelling the world to create intricate designs in snow. This year, we crafted an embryo sculpture representing the birth of artificial intelligence, with light shining through to represent the dawn of a new era. Starting with a massive 30-ton block of snow, we spent days tirelessly carving and shaping it into our vision.

We were thrilled to be among only five teams to complete our sculpture in this challenging competition. The experience was both exhausting and exhilarating, and we’re proud of what we achieved. It’s always a privilege to bring our art to life on such a prestigious stage, and we’re looking forward to continuing our sculpting journey in the future.
