I was recently featured on BBC Look North Yorkshire & North Midlands Afternoon News on the big red sofa talking about been back in Yorkshire after another exciting snow sculpting adventure with my best mate, Justin Scott  https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mj5m

A big thank you to BBC Look North Afternoon News team (Yorkshire & North Midlands)!

This time, we were in Austria, taking part in an international competition where we carved a massive sailing boat out of snow. We’ve been at this for years now, and while the competition was tough, we’re really pleased to have placed ninth.

Creating something as big as a boat that people can actually climb on and interact with was a lot of fun. We had some great feedback from locals and even a few big names like the CEO of Laurent-Perrier, who loved being in the boat. It’s moments like those that make all the hard work worth it.

The camaraderie among the sculptors is one of the best parts of these trips. Justin and I have been friends for over 20 years, and experiences like this bring us even closer. While we do get a bit of time to enjoy the slopes on skis or snowboards, most of our time is spent carving away, followed by some much-needed recovery.

But the adventure doesn’t stop here. We’re already gearing up for our next challenge—this time in Lapland. We’re heading to the Kiruna Snow Festival, 140 kilometres inside the Arctic Circle, where we’ll be sculpting under the northern lights. It’s an incredible opportunity, and we’re excited to see what we can create in such a magical setting.

So, while it’s nice to be back in Yorkshire for a bit, we’re already looking forward to what’s next. Thanks for following along with our journey, and I can’t wait to share more from our upcoming adventures in the Arctic!
