At the 28th Shapes in White snow sculpture competition in Ischgl, Austria, Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards was honored with a snow statue. Created by UK sculptors Justin Scott and Martin Sharp, the statue features Eddie soaring over the Alps. This unique homage marks the first time Eddie has been sculpted from snow, adding to his legendary status from the 1988 Calgary Olympics. The artists faced intense competition, weather challenges, and the impact of COVID-19, but their dedication resulted in a stunning tribute.
