What a way to kick off MK Marathon Weekend! The Rocket 5K took us from the centre of Milton Keynes right through to Stadium MK, and the atmosphere was building from the very first moment. With a Star Wars theme in full swing, it was light side vs dark side at the start line… but once we got moving, it was all about enjoying the run and soaking up the energy. This run was a great shakeout ahead of marathon day.

I’ll be honest… Iset off way too fast again, clocking around 28:30 when I was aiming for something more controlled. But that’s part of the process. Every run gives feedback, and this one has set me up perfectly for tomorrow. Massive credit to the organisers, volunteers, and every runner out there. The support, the smiles, and even the unexpected post-run treats made it a brilliant experience. And that medal… definitely earned.
