My First 24-Hour Ultra Marathon | HARP24 2026

What an unforgettable weekend! In this video, I take you behind the scenes of my very first 24-hour endurance event at HARP24. I wasn’t there to race for a podium. I was there to support my good friend, Gabriel Flores, as he took on an incredible challenge to raise money for HARP, helping people experiencing homelessness.

Over the weekend we experienced everything the British weather could throw at us… a spectacular sunset, overnight thunderstorms that flooded our tent, an Amber Heat Warning with temperatures close to 30°C, torrential downpours, night running by headtorch and an unforgettable sunrise.

My original goal was simply to support Gabe and, if everything went to plan, complete a marathon. Instead, I finished my first overnight ultra, covering over 57km while helping crew Gabe as he completed an incredible 14 laps (around 113km / 70 miles).

A huge thank you to everyone at HARP, the volunteers, marshals, medical team and every runner for creating such an amazing atmosphere. The encouragement, conversations and community spirit made this one of the most enjoyable events I’ve ever taken part in.

Special thanks to Gabriel Flores for inviting Sarah and me to crew for you and introducing us to this incredible style of endurance running. Watching your determination over 24 hours was inspiring.

And to my amazing wife Sarah… thank you for keeping us fuelled, hydrated, organised and smiling throughout the event. You were the heart of our team.
