I’ve just been featured on ITV Calendar New talking about the incredible opportunity to team up with my partner, Justin Scott, for an international snow sculpting competition in the Austrian Alps. Our subject? The one and only Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, the iconic British ski jumper who captured the world’s attention during the Winter Olympics https://www.itv.com/news/calendarA big thank you to the ITV News Calendar team!

Over the course of five days, Justin and I worked tirelessly to carve Eddie’s likeness out of 100 tons of snow. The result was a massive sculpture, about the length of a double-decker bus, that not only depicted Eddie in mid-jump but also included the Olympic rings—a nod to his unforgettable journey.

Eddie is such a warm and inspiring figure, and it was a real pleasure to bring his story to life through our work. There’s something special about capturing someone who embodies such determination and spirit, and we wanted our sculpture to reflect that. It was fabulous to work on something so iconic and so deeply connected to British sports history.

This was the first time Eddie has been immortalized in a snow sculpture, and we were honored to be the ones to do it. While we didn’t take home the top prize, we were thrilled to place fourth in a competition filled with some of the best sculptors from around the world.

Spending those days in the Austrian Alps, working on this project, was an experience I won’t forget. Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards is a true British legend, and being able to celebrate his legacy in this way was nothing short of amazing.
